Angel for an Evening

Angel for an Evening

A Poem by Thomas Emile Vaughen
"

---

"
Once, when we were
young, dancing
I felt the chill that
comes with crystal
cool    clarity

Because you were
moving, like something
from a movie
Blonde hair, strands
in the atmosphere

It could have been
the beer, wine
Could have been
something divine
but your blue eyes

Damn

Pull me near,
through the clouds
of faces, faceless
waiting for this
is endless

Could I be your one
mistake, dressed
up and dress down
To the 9s...
My 6th sense

One angel for an
evening, in heaven
with your breathing
and the scents
of sacred sinning

Taking and then giving

Such sweet memories of an evening kept through the years. A treasure to be held in the mind if no longer in the arms.
