Break the Bottle

Break the Bottle

A Poem by Thomas Emile Vaughen
"

What a wonderful thing to wash up on the shore...

"
I want to find you with the ocean,
the message ordained by the breath
of Poseidon and his mighty Trident
Can you imagine if the Gods
took this scribbled, scrabbled
ity-lil-bitty piece of my soul
scattered across the page
And you broke the bottle
and you liberated it

We would stand shore to shore,
and we would know our
loneliness was shared
So we could wade on in,
passed the shallows
and drown

A teeny tiny
ity-lil-bitty
smidge
Happier
