Caravan Girl

Caravan Girl

A Poem by Thomas Emile Vaughen

So you're gonna take that thing out West?
Gonna live modestly with the owls and
feel the ground with your feet and
actually breathe

A few clothes, socks for your toes
and a box of blankets for the frosts
of a winter's eve

Building life around a bonfire
Bouquets with wild flowers

So you're gonna take that thing out West?

Write to me every day

I pray your dream never fades away
