The Sun at Night

The Sun at Night

A Poem by Thomas Emile Vaughen

I want summer to come,
so that I may be devoured
by a midnight sun
So I can roam the city,
feral, shaken by the
screech of human activity
Columns of aspiration
stacked up, pointing
at God
I'll be drenched in
perspiration
I'll be happy
and prosperous

Again
