Colosseum

Colosseum

A Poem by Thomas Emile Vaughen

You may have salted me like Catharge
But baby I ransacked your Rome
Hannibal crossing the Alps,
elephants dancing on your heart

You cower in the eternal city

Were we in a relationship

or a Colosseum?
