A Poem by Thomas Emile Vaughen
"

Marcus Rashford is class

"
Warrior - wall worthy, ball sturdy
Let them try to deface the brick and mortar
But we will always stand with
the black sons and daughters
of the hopeful immigrants that came
to this land

And when you call upon us, we will
take your hand One community,
one wound - inflicted Condoned
by pitiful politicians with corrupt
ambitions of culture wars,
appropriating scores

when it suits

[That's noise]

The important thing is,
we have not forgotten the kids
that you've fed, your English
blood, red and the graft
you gave to get us where we are

Thank you, you star;
you're the very best of us

Shudder to think of the alternative.
