Exit Sign POEMA Chapter by Thomas Emile VaughenA poem, part of The 2nd Burden Anthology. (For those with cold feet and warm hearts.) <3
One more door, another exit sign.
This other world, left behind. Do I carry gypsy blood? Fleeting star through all these floods. I can't help my walking ways, even if I lose parts of myself whenever I part ways. I must profess that I feel less real, the phantom stranger on the photo reel. Walking passed the smiling couple, forever bound to the numbness that follows from my hopeless Wanderlust. Perhaps a concluding remark for those more statically inclined, to smile upon a stranger kind - for we who travel still need hope; your smile our only antidote.
