Ephemeron

Ephemeron

A Poem by Thomas Emile Vaughen
"

An omitted poem.

"
It is deity.
The sky watching you back.
You don't theorise; in moments like these,
you just religion.
The rain is throbbing in a vein.
The lightning, a flash of teeth.
Oh Ephemeron.

Everything that places me.
An ode to the evoking thing.
Significance. And belief.
