Help yourself to some cake...

Help yourself to some cake...

A Poem by Thomas Emile Vaughen
"

... Because you're a poet! And a poet is a pretty good thing to be, all things considered.

"
We're not in the business {of
Bold visual proclamations,
bedazzling the senses
Stupor on the wall
of the hall in the Manor with it all

Our craft is vapor,
thin tendrils of truth drifting,
the naked shadows
hiding betwixt
flanking covers

The monk preserving pristine knowledge,
Monastery out-of-sight
Lovers whispering God's word
in the thunderstorm

An ode to those
that chose this artform;
softly you say it
to the world that shouts
