Chest

Chest

A Poem by Thomas Emile Vaughen

In our best moments, we are above
the pettiness in one another
We do not look at dollars and pounds,
but cradle our own humanity
in our arms And know beyond knowledge
and feel beyond feeling, that there is magic
in the bone and marrow And gooey soft
wonderful life, shallow breath in the cage
of the chest

Memory Christmas
and I love you <3
