Alas

Alas

A Poem by Thomas Emile Vaughen

Charmless grey clouds gather like
smokers on a night out, their huddle
blocking shock blue from my view
Their spring offensive Agitated in that
I want to drink from the cauldron
of a rainbow I wish for my heart to
burst with honey gold Hope

The future speaks a foreign language,
as it is in hibernation beyond the
seagull gusted skies If only a message
could break through, one solitary
omen carried by an innocent dove
to give me Cause to carry on

Alas,

Alas
