~A Poem by Thomas Emile Vaughen
You came to the realisation that,
over time, you had lost something essential Perhaps the wind had reached within you with cold, skeletal hand, snatching at an indescribable warmth You kept walking, shedding, shrinking, until you wept at a moon you no longer understood You kept walking into the pulling waves that sung quiet lullabies, enchanting black song The Chorus of Creation Pulling you into the swallowing abyss of something that existed before God, Angels and words of peace and solace © 2024 Thomas Emile Vaughen |
