“Bare Nature of Things”A Poem by TommyIn a cold blink of an eye, she was gone...Like snow, on
the twenty-fourth of July, rolling in, over the bear essence, ravaging skinny dipped souls, in and out, quick, leaving bitter, chilled to the bone; running away.(Taking the heart that dressed this sleeve.)
Cooling lake of fire, blue waves, "Good bye," Rocky Mountain
heights, passions of love lost at second
glance, watching flakes etched fall from frigid
iced over hearts. (Abominable and we’re alone) Sometimes
life is unpredictable, like summer snow, we never had a chance, and in a cold blink of an eye, she was gone... © 2011 TommyAuthor's Note
