Forever GoneA Poem by ThornThis was inspired, at first, by the death of my rabbit. R.I.P, little bunny.
Maybe if I’d been observant, Maybe if I’d seen… That the problems that were troubling you were more than they had seemed. Then perhaps this could have been resolved, This cruel affliction cured. Perhaps you would have seen the day And I’d have kept my word. But now you lie as limp as rags, Beneath the rain soaked ground. Your eyes blank and glassy, And your soul heaven bound. Never will you see the light, Only darkness do you taste. Just another carcass in the mud, Another life at waste. © 2009 ThornFeatured Review
