Say Something “Remix”A Poem by ThreeWrites
Say something, I’m waiting for you.
Just to fall asleep, dreaming of what to do. Wake up, to still be standing right here, next to what you drew, That painting is so clear, it’s better than brand new All I can picture, is a way to find proof, You have skills, you just need to see things through Say something, I don’t know what to do. Running from global news, to end up shooting you! Thieves run, but I knew, it was was time, books were due, You can only study so long, until the spine is screwed, Return what’s borrowed, before I’m forced to choose. Say something, I don’t know what to do. Fears draw me back, to the goon, Why can’t I escape, this impending doom. Wishing for, a way to disappear, from the truth, Graze with god, as we sip a brew. Wondering how, to get past this, very soon! Say something I am lost, to staring at the moon. Where do I turn, to see where I grew? Memory’s fade, as the picture is glued. I can’t remember, my first time I flew. Hoping to see, someone I once knew, Now I want to share, this moment with you! So say something… I don’t know what to do… © 2025 ThreeWritesAuthor's Note
