What’s Right

What’s Right

A Poem by ThreeWrites

Everything is a state of mind, being hot or cold, wet or dry, this is something I’m going write,

But I’m not even going to try.

I’m not going to be arrogant, but the sky is high,

The ground is dirty, but rocks were made to be climbed.

Birds are so far, clearly they fly,

One day we’re born, we live, then die.

That’s too depressing, makes me wanna cry.

But what’s said is done, best brush it off and sigh,

Or we can do what’s best, and just lie.

But what’s inevitable will always happen, so when I meet someone, I just say goodbye, so I never have to see the end of a life.

Still the tunnel is so dark, but at the end it’s not very bright,

I was foolish and never brought a flashlight.

So I’m lost looking for that path, clearing my way, no exit in sight,

I’ve never known what was right. But I’m making my way, doing what’s best, fighting my fight.

The fruits right there in front of me, worst part is, I took a bite.

Forgive me lord, for this one, clean your lens, you can borrow my wipe.
