RegretA Poem by Tatiana LexiaHis hands are on my skin, Searching, curious. Brushing lightly over sensitive areas, Bordering on furious. Temptation builds up deep inside As clothes are torn away. This isn’t how I want us, But that’s one thing I can’t say. My lips fumble around words That are trying to get through; “No, we can’t; we shouldn't.” But they’re stopped by something new. A part of me is taking over Saying yes, moving forward, Becoming dominant, Leaving the old me cornered. Looking away, to my side, I see Innocence standing there. Her eyes, filled with concern, Are lit with only care. I reach out, grasp her hand, And beg her not to go. But she can’t stay, not anymore, This I already know. © 2012 Tatiana Lexia |
