Goodnight

Why I need that special goodnight?

All I need is a sweet Goodnight.

A promising goodnight.
A goodnight that assures beautiful dreams.
A goodnight that says, everything is in place.


And I can let the sleep take over me.
Confident, I fear not the deepest slumber.
'Coz unperturbed dreams are on their way.

Eagely I wait for the sweet dreams to dance,
And I am ready to get carried away.
'Coz at the end of the dance I know
They will make way for a beautiful day.

All I need is a Good Night before the day.

You are an awesome poet. Beautiful expression. The image that's placed in my head is of a girl lying in bed, maybe staring into her lover's eyes, or maybe dreaming about that special someone to tell her that much needed "goodnight" every night.
