Ominous

Ominous

A Poem by Tina Kline

Swirls of clouds
Ivory overlapping ebony
Certain of a storm
Waiting for eternity

Black birds come sailing in
There is no blue sky
Clouds still hanging low
Seems like the world will die

Thank you!
This sounds like the end of the world that many have been predicting and waiting for for centuries. I like this.

A really cool nature scene of the approaching storm. I can just imagine seeing the birds fleeing before its powerful onslaught. Great job.

Fantastic indeed; "Often an omen, as animals react rather than humanity"
We need to listen more to them, as you have the skills....

So welcome :)
Fantastic poem. It runs like a film in my mind. The black clouds rising up on the horizon, cold winds blow, rain falls and the birds flee before the encroaching storm. I sure enjoyed this poem!

Very vivid. I get the chills just reading this and thinking of such a storm approaching. Splendid work here!

Gorgeously dark poem, friend. I love the imagery and flow. Powerful.
