Dark Tale

Dark Tale

A Poem by Tina Kline

In the dark shadows they come
Ghostly demons out for dark fun
See them wander up and down the street
Creatures lacking any sort of heartbeat
Their cries echo through the dark night
See their shapes in the moon's crimson light
Fanged creatures out for blood feasts
Hungry packs of hairy flesh eating beasts
Soul suckers coming to seek you out
Avoid them all without any doubt
In the dark shadows they are here
It is now time for the living to fear
For packs of undead are out to dine
Death reigns beneath the moon's red shine

A dark tale, yes, but one that sounds almost like fun. I enjoyed this.

Thank you!
Evokes a mood, no doubt! Definitely don't want to walk around in that neighborhood after dark.

Thanks very much for reading and reviewing!
Very scary. All very dark and spooky imagery which I find darkly delightful. I get the sense reading this poem that older children would enjoy this and find it fun. Excellent poem, very enjoyable.
