Abandoned

Abandoned

A Poem by Tina Kline

In the fires of autumn
leaves fell
scattering like embers
a lonely bench waiting
for someone
for anyone
In the damp weather
 no one comes
darkness descends early
more embers fall
from the fiery autumn trees
 it's cold
it's lonely
dawn is a long way off

This poem is full of images of loneliness and abandonment. It's full of images of coldness and the hauntingness of pain. Very effective poem.

Thank you very much!
This has a very lonely and cold feeling about it. An icy abandoned feel. Powerful with an appropriate title.

This is so full of pain. Such a feeling of loss in this. Very powerful in the emotional aspect of the poem. Awesome job!

Feels like a creative take on the old saying "Misery loves company."
