Nothing

Nothing

A Poem by Tina Kline

Within red rivers
I hear my painful cry
Ice cold and crimson tides
The moment when souls die

Monsters ride the red waves
Weeping voices echoing high
Somewhere beyond my grave
Red becomes the skies

With red rivers
Fingers grip and cling
Somber is the dark season
Forgotten angels try to sing

My eyes bleed and I dream
Times when the crimson moon rose
I noticed the world is trapped in a scream
Wicked is the winds that blow

With the red rivers
Nothing anymore lives
Death is now all reality
Nothing left to give

Thanks!
what a haunting echo as I review, I would finish with "Nothing left...." the rhythm and picture put a mental pause in my head that was perfect, slowed me to focus deeper. Thank you for staying creative.

Thanks so much!
Deep and rich with red shadows... the hollow empties of life's end... of hope's passing. So moving and powerful.

Wow! Impressive and powerful write. I read into it the state of our country and the world today. Damaging, ugly and destructive. The imagery in this is powerful and compelling all on its own. I find it all very alluring. Brilliant write!

And as blood flows to make the rivers of red, the body is gone with life ended. A crimson tide returns only death!
Your words make it all so very vivid!!
