No Time For Anyone

No Time For Anyone

A Poem by Tina Kline

Time speaks nothing to me
Somewhere in a thousand places
I have hunted, seeking centuries
But find only unknown faces

Lacking faith only creates weakness
Tragedy wears a shadowed smile
Never revealing, never showing
But traveling many lost miles

Never say never
For like birds dark and sinister
Your words will haunt you
Menacing, spiteful and sure

Years grow into decades
Age eats away viciously
Time is no one's friend
It destroys mind and body

Faces blur as decades rush by
Old age eats away at youth
Yes it will happen to you
Early death is the only truth

Nothing is there left to find
No one is left now to locate
I wander on cursed as I am
Not even to know my fate

This has endless echoes of loss and sadness. Very good writing. The poem pulled me in, it read smoothly and hinted at the pain of immortality. Or maybe not hinted. Fantastic write!

A sad, well written poem, that it is even more sad written from a young person. As a talented writer you have a lot ahead of you.!

Thank you very much!
Awesome poem! Very haunting and tragic on one level, very surreal, almost like these are the words of a vampire.

I can fear the pain in these words, to outlive those you love and the world you know, very painful indeed. Nicely written, skillfully done.
