The Change

The Change

A Poem by Tina Kline
"

A vampyre tale.

"
Swirls of white
grey and black
spin before my eyes

I see the red
I see the Crimson Kiss
there's no denying it
The Pain and the Bliss

I feel my life
I feel me
Spilling into her
Spreading out into eternity

Will I survive this lethal kiss?
Will I make it to the other side
Will they all have said
That I have died?

The grey, the black, the white
Glitter with painful silver
Shimmering in the moonlight
My reality becomes a sliver

I am a Shadow
I am a Shade
I am Wraith
Yet most of all
I am the top predator
I am Vampyre

A transformational poem that shouts strength, power and triumph! "I am the top predator / I am Vampyre!" Excellent write, my dark friend. I think you are the best of your genre here at the cafe. Your poems are intelligent and you breathe life into the undead.

I really enjoyed this dark vampire poem. Nice little horror story line in it. Very creative.

I always like seeing certain words and phrases in a poem capitalized for emphasis. And of course, I love vampires. Nicely done.

A dark seduction is the vampire's kiss. One does not know if they will survive it or not. A beautiful and dark poem which I enjoyed very much.
