No One Sleeps

No One Sleeps

A Poem by Tina Kline

The soft pitter patter of rain
As darkness slowly descends
A gentle grey sigh unfurls
Whispers of autumn's hold

A crow calls from somewhere
A loud voice cutting the silence
Wings unfold she flies away
The rain becomes thicker, harder

A cool fall chill on the air
Tendrils of damp coil and reach
Night falls across the rural town
Even so, no one sleeps, no one sleeps

A soothing storm poem. Love the imagery in this. Dark, lovely and beautiful.

Thank you.
A brilliantly well crafted poem. Beautiful jet a sense something dark and sinister in the air, and it's no autumn's chill. I enjoyed this one.
