You Have Died

You Have Died

A Poem by Tina Kline

YOU HAVE DIED

Something dark and evil this way comes

The moon shadows are finally all done

Pain eats away at me

From it I struggle to be free

Blood rain, wet and slick

Lightning flickers and flicks

Bats flutter overhead

In the cemetery lingers the living dead

Oh how I wish the night would end

Oh how I wish I would finally win

But the moon turns red with death eyes

Here nothing can survive

No escape is there for anyone alive

Comes the haunting specter of suicide

Run run while you can

Because this place you will never understand

An open grave yawning wide

Soon they'll say you have died

A very chilling poem, yet beautiful in its cold fearful way.
