Autumn Tears

Autumn Tears

A Poem by Tina Kline

The colors of Fall
sweep across the cityscape
bronze and golden
crimson and orange
fires that burn
while a cold sun shines
weak in its strength
but a relief after the heat
that seemed to choke all life
The colors of Fall
undulating over the cityscape
beautiful and glorious
but then they start to drop
falling from the trees
one by one
then two then many
as if Autumn is crying
at Her passing
and Winter is waiting
for Her moment
on Nature's stage
Each season comes
then each season fades

I do like nature and I think it is fascinating to learn about it. My favourite season is spring when flowers start to grow. This poem describes autumn so amazingly. So true and imaginative. Autumn is coming up in my country and this has made me look forward to it. I like your style and you have made a good job of this

Beautiful colors in this some what somber autumn poem. It is my favorite time of year for these very colors and the chill in the air.

I liked this poem first of all, my favorite seasons being fall and winter. You brought in both of them, so I must like the write. But, I'll be saying something more.. What I think is, our ancestral poets have fixed certain things; Things that suit each other. I pretty much guess bringing in moon in a scene of autumn is quite not apt. The season of fall is better suited with soft sunlight or a dim sunfall. Also I thought last two lines were just suffixes.. Despite all these, I still like the poem. Some nice imagery there :) Keep writing.

There is such a feeling of release.. the sorrow of moving on.. letting go.. You create the colors and canvass here so beautifully...
