Mountain Meadow

Mountain Meadow

A Poem by Tina Kline

I came upon this field of flowers
Summer is at its height
The breeze is gentle and warm
The flowers bob and bow in its wake
I sit and watch this natural landscape
Dreaming of staying here forever
This meadow is a perfect escape
I could live an eternity in this summer weather
But time just stands still for no one
And afternoon turns to evening and I see the night
I know I can't stay up here any longer
I must leave before the arrival of moonlight
Tomorrow I will return after dawn has risen
This peaceful paradise of a mountain meadow
My return is not in doubt but a given
I will be here in the summer sun and the warm wind that blows

I would love to sit and enjoy this beautiful field for hours and you are very correct: time stand still for no one.

(sigh) This sounds so like an earthly paradise. Escape the concrete jungle for this wonderful wild place. Awesome!
