Shock!

Shock!

A Poem by Tina Kline

Shock -
Blood splashes before my eyes
I've been shot!
How could I realize
She stood before me -
                               - my name
With the gun of murder
      Come to cancel my pain
I look down
Blood gushes from me
I am dead
It is what had to be
I look away
My dreams were long gone
I struggled
I fought
I tried to survive
But I lost The Battle
I lost the War
Now I am dead
Nothing matters anymore

"Come to cancel my pain" i like that line
'Nothing matters anymore' once one's dreams die.
But then, the sun rises once more .. and so it shall.
Aye but some lose sight of that and 'cancel the pain'
or someone does it for ya :O ~ sad poem with impact.

A very cruel reality for some people. I really felt the pain, helplessness and despair in your words. You did a great job on this poem.

A very tragic situation in your most wonderful poem. Is this murder of the self to escape life's pain or mercy killing by someone else? Nicely done with an impact.

A truly painful situation to be trapped in where suicide/death seems the only answer.
