Nightmares

Nightmares

A Poem by Tina Kline

Misty -
         - Tendrils
Fog - Ether Zone
I wander here
     Lost - Alone
Milky White
         Hazy
I cannot see
         Yet I know
Spiders are all around me
                   Webs
      Cast from evil entities
Like razor blades
                  They cut me
I run crimson
          Tracery of scars
While the Spiders
                Obvious in their deadly webs
Laugh - Laugh - Laugh
                I fall
                      Slipping in my blood
I open my mouth to scream
                      I have no voice
This is more terrible
                            Than being alone
The Spiders drop
            One by one
From some place worse than Hell
I see through the fog
              Their scarlet eyes
Their black tongues
                      Hunger for my scarlet essence
I am helpless
          Bars of webs
Hold me - I am dead
Drained by Spiders
                     Within me no life
My glass eyes
                      See nothing
My voice - Never existed

A nightmare...real spiders are probably more afraid of us than we are of them...still, there aren't too many worse nightmares than those of the spider.

Chilling poem, awesome horror write, excellent imagery, the last line I'm glad isn't a reality, cool pen upon this piece.
