Mystery Butterfly

Mystery Butterfly

A Poem by Tina Kline

It's a butterfly
         I am certain
Out on the midnight lawn
Luminous
         As if in her wings
She magically contains the dawn
Fiery rays
         Orange
                    Red
                          Yellow
Radiating outward from her
         Like a night time rainbow
As she flutters here and there
         As she darts about
The rainbow patterns
         Shift and change
It's a butterfly
         There in the dark
Mystical - Surreal
         - beautifully strange

Mystic and beautiful. This creates a fanciful view of butterflies.
