Autumn Leaves

Autumn Leaves

A Poem by Tina Kline

Autumn leaves falling, damp and heavy
Gathering and clinging to the wet pavement
A light frost appears in irregular patterns
So mysterious and beautiful to look upon
The leave's images are burned onto the cement
Lingering long after they are gone by decay
Damp autumn slowly turns into frozen winter
Snow will soon be falling from skies of gray

Ah...I love the image of the leaves on the cement
and the dark grey clouds where snow will soon
be falling from. Makes me want a hot cup of tea.
