Forest Scene

Forest Scene

A Poem by Tina Kline

deep blue sky
criss-crossed with Douglas Fir limbs
thickly needled green
the sun moves into evening
a campfire burns
a creek gurgles nearby
a stillness settles
as the sun slowly sets

Short and sweet. A finely observed snapshot. You always, always write well about the things you observe in nature. You have a good eye for it. I know your preference is your WW&V writing, but I prefer your nature pieces. You always seem in a relaxed state when writing this way too, well mostly, some of the moonscape type pieces can be darker. But this is not one of your dark pieces. You are clearly happier with nature than in the city I think.

Beautiful imagery for a beautiful camping site. I love the area near White River, was a beautiful trip. Excellent job on this.

Camping...an enjoyable way to spend a week or so of summer. Your words bring the scene to life. Awesome!

Oh that is some beautiful imagery that makes me want to go hiking in the woods right now. I can smell the pine now.
