Just A Wraith

Just A Wraith

A Poem by Tina Kline

A freezing - Icy chill
Wandering across arctic wastelands
Starvation - What is it to kill?
Coldness beyond description
As I stumble - The earth is like stone
How did I come to this condition?
Lost - Confused - Completely alone
I see no reflection in the ice
I have no face - No identity
There is no name that I have
My eyes are empty - Like glass
I've gone way beyond being sad
I died before I had a future
I am a product of my past
If anyone sees me - Ghost - Spirit
They see not a human being - Just a wraith

This drips with the essence of loneliness and emptiness. Fantastic imagery used.

A very dark and painful place to have to be in. A really awful experience. A very well written poem too.

deep, dark, and cold. The rhyming helped keep my attention, too. Thank you.

Very dark and depressing. A very painful place to be for sure.
