Ravens

A Poem by Tina Kline
"

A poem about darkness and pain.

"
I know a major flaw
When I heard the ravens call

Black inky spots before my eyes
Their razor beaks I was forced to realize

With their talons they clawed my skin
I bled - It was my sin

Their dissonant voices calling my name
Slashing me - Disfiguring me - leaving me maimed

It was the blood they were after
I heard it in their twisted laughter

The ruckus they made left me blind
I wandered - My way I could not find

The ravens consumed my reality
They even abducted my fantasy

If you see me - It is a shell
Long ago I left for hell

The ravens plagiarized what had been me
Leaving indifference to set me free

A dark vision suitable for the subject matter in this. I think you did a great job on describing the pain of life.

As they totally ate your beautiful brain, still you're here with us... lovely words, clever point of view. I guess, all in a certain life point gives us wandering moments, and moments of insecurity. It's our path to follow, untill we are numb of the impermanent... Free, yes.... if the time is there. Lovely write!
