My eyes rise skyward in awe of what I behold a snow capped mountain sweeping high wild jagged peaks breathtaking beauty a cliche that works here wild dark green Douglas Fir trees marching for miles and miles right up to the timberline I see the American Eagles soaring I hear the wolves howling the elk and the white tail deer move through the endless foliage rivers rushing through this wild place meandering their way down to the waiting Pacific Ocean this wild place who would ever want to leave my eyes seem unable to look away at least for now maybe forever behold the fabulous Mt. Hood watching over Portland, Oregon those who view it have understood
