One Winter's Morning

It's a tragic poem and was the very first one I wrote

ONE WINTER’S MORNING

 

One winter’s morning

When I woke up,

You weren’t next to me…..

It was on this day,

One year ago,

That we had had our wedding

I search the house for you,

For a clue,

For a note,

For anything……..

But I only come up

Empty handed…..

It was at this time

I got the call

You had left early

To pick up my present,

Thinking you’d be back early

It was that lucky cat

I had wanted…..

Now I would never see you again

And I didn’t even get to say

I LOVE YOU

When we lose someone we love... we often find ourselves searching for their presence... it is a process of healing that is hard to ignore. Thanks for the poem :)
