Sympathy, Not Just For the DevilA Poem by Tkess
I lay in waiting beneath
The moon's colossal being For a crumb of mercy, or A morsel of forgiveness
The spirit torn, marked in blood Give me a chance to see it through But the planets arrive, all aligned To hear my atonement
Cryptic thoughts spit beneath The avalanche of unattainable amnesty The words reverberate Like ripples in still water
Trapped mind, feelings yearning Against invisible walls This frail reality stretched To the point of breach
As she calls me with song, and Beckons me with hidden gestures The moon draws a noose I hang on every word you say © 2011 Tkess |
