La Maudite II

A continuation of a one stanza poem I did for a group challenge.

The sky’s bitter torch
Lights up the lonely boulevard
A Nightingale flaps her wings
And the road sings, a silent lullaby

And the moon's secret smile

Fades with the approaching twilight

Abated flames of our celestial guardian

Fall beneath the treeline

I can still find you

Through the nights tarpaulin

My bright spot amidst

The dark torsion

These nights are ours

As long as you desire

As long as you allow me

Within your midnight garden

I like this break from your usual gritty, urban style. It's nice to see where poets go when they muse outside their normal frame of reference.

Your style is so beautiful, I love the way your words are so wispy and profound...if that makes any sense. The third stanza is my favorite, but the whole poem is amazing because the imagery is just...stunning:) fantastic poem!

To be honest I love it as a whole.. this one line grabbed at me..and yet the story itself and the walking together if allowed in the midnight garden just paints the best picture ever in my mind.. I really love this...xx
