Affection for the feathery kind

Affection for the feathery kind

A Poem by Tobias Bathory
"

'Affection for the feathery kind' to me is about the heights in which love (the embodiment of the lark) can take us.

"

Like that great flame; which imortalizes itself in the sky,

or the blushing of the brush in the evening high,

like a subtle furnace resting on tomorow's dew,

or the rosebuds that whisper of the deepest hue!

I find no trace of mortal shade,

here within this courtyard of pulsating jade,

I feel only one; within this palace of heart's,

here within the glowing of love, my lark.
