Longing

Longing

A Poem by TomboyVisionary
"

I long for so much

"
Longing

I long for the day I will be free
The day when my thoughts will speak on the horizon of love and beauty
Yet you speak so sorrowfully of ill-made imaginations
a poison that would lead you ruin

I long for the day I’ll seek love
The day when I will be held as much as I would mimic
Yet you speak of a past image you formed yourself meek
a broken heart that has never healed

I long for the day I will find solace
The day when I shall be still and feel glee and peace
Yet you have shackles chained of pain
an iron grasping your frictioned skin

I long for the day I will finally perish
The day when my prayers will be put to rest
Yet I long for so much my mirrored soul refuses to accept death
a desire my beating essence clings to possess
