Spoken Through The Noose

The soil spoke to me like a dance
Uneven feet, a broken stance
Silence speaks to me like a shadow
a hooded womans stillness
Her scent past me so hallow

is this all I am destined to be
a broken scar unhealed
a mark of a beast with a shroud of horror

Dared to death in the shallow life of a broken road
Shards of fiber in my neck as I reap what I sow

Merciless

An ether cut out
Not a syllable breathed

Bleeding from his eyes
Choking in the echoes of despair

Losing a grip of humanity
Losing his vision with a gray of his sanity

Their Silhouette

Was it there this whole time?
or is it a state of mind?
Another trickery of lies?

I kept one eye open to be sure
Reached out a hand to attempt to lure

No…. would I dare to hope?
With sheer force
The rope met the grass
Caught my breath as I looked around at last

Not a figure to be seen
In the darkest of nights what did it all mean?

a vision, a future? a state of mind?

Perhaps willpower alone

But why?
