Midnight DriveA Story by TomboyVisionarySynthwave Intensifies
It was quiet
No cars swift past me this midnight The stars and the lights were therapeutic Neon flashed my crimson red face Reflecting my skin through the windows This Midnight was unlike any other a shootout that defined fates a brother gone in exchange for another that was more Its aura circled throughout like a disease incurable It pierced my heart so deep the car felt sluggish from the weight it carried Although I am filled with spite and disgust The deed is done I must live with my actions Would the almighty forgive me for my sin? Only time will tell I’ll drive as far as I can with the love of my life We’ll start anew free from our shadows Live a life worthy of God himself Whatever that even means for 2 men who found love in a haystack But I have faith we’ll be gone of this To leave the past behind us 90 miles per hour For now I must drive Just as long as were safe we’ll be fine Asphalt will soon turn to soil and the lamps will soon turn to trees and the skyscrapers will turn to mountains The life he and I dreamt since the day we both learned to drive I don’t know who might be reading this but if you do Live life the best you can and make the right decisions And if it comes down coerced doings I pray you have the strength to pick yourself back up Best of luck to anyone out there © 2026 TomboyVisionary |
