Since the Virus

Since the Virus

A Story by TomboyVisionary

Just a monologue for a story i’m creating

"
I remember the first time the violets roamed the earth, I was stuck at home playing video games with my friend, wasting time like there was no tomorrow. Iris was her name I think, hell if I know, it's already been 15 years since the outbreak. I was only there in the beginning when it all happened, I was 11 back then when I saw how devious this virus could truly get.

I’d rather not revisit them, I saw things a child should not see, and I was lucky enough to get out. Made my way out of there at the cost of someone dear to me. I ended up on Mars where I spent most of my teenagehood in a quarantine zone for refugees of old-world Earth. I made friends there who became family surviving the harsh winds that forced even the noble to succumb to filth. But one thing kept me afloat in the face of inevitable calamity.

My faith, my faith in God that this travesty will turn itself around for the good

And I have a way to do it…

With the help of my friends, we might have discovered a way to put an end to this madness. A cure located in the heart of the New World. The Azores, west of Portugal. A rumor, now a possible fact proven only through a paper. a myth I have to see through

But the hardest journeys often require sacrifice. I had to leave Calder and Elin behind, but to everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven.

I will find a cure to this
or die trying in
Jesus name…
