If only you knew

If only you knew

A Poem by Antonina Dutchak

I can't like this be.
If only you knew how much fire
Is wasting in me.
I'm wasted desire.

Pointless war I wage.
All soldiers fell dead.
One remained and yet
Believes the fire he'll protect.

Though, I do not regret
That met you that day.
Until the flame is, I won't forget,
Beside you I'll stay.

And even if my heart
Turns to ice.
It won't be hard
To see the entrance through my eyes.
