You're A Real Mother F...

Something I just wrote here.

You’re a real mother f-fah-fah-for   

for bringing me into existence  

then not giving up on me

when I didn’t turn out right 

 

You’re a real mother f-fah-fah-for   

staying by my side on the ready

in the times that I became ill

and how you worried all night

 

You’re a real mother f-fah-fah-for   

being the mom that cooks meals

when the other kids ate junk

I thought I’d rather have, too

 

You’re a real mother f-fah-fah-for   

never fussing or striking me

on days I am clumsy and break stuff

that simply mends with glue

 

You’re a real mother f-fah-fah-for   

standing up for me whenever  another’s

mom’s boney finger  pointed 

knowing her child is always bad 

 

You’re a real mother f-fah-fah-for   

not aborting or abandoning me 

because I am flawed and handicapped  

which makes you the best mother this world ever had

Unfortunately, I wasn’t blessed with such a wonderful mother,
but I am a former Employment Specialist/Life Coach for Goodwill,
and the people with mental disabilities I helped were the sweetest
humans I’ve ever known…
This is for amazing people like them everywhere. They have moms, too!

WOW. This is beautiful. what a tribute to a mother. My mother a d I did not get along but we know that we loved each other. she passed away. In 2009 due to hospital negligence but she was more than ready..Most of Most of my poems are posted on all poetry.com. under Leona Doable. let's keep in touch
