A Ruby Red Kiss~by Tracey

A mirror was placed in my hands
and the reflection wasn't mine
it was a face of a stranger

A woman with tears streaming 
down her pale and translucent face 
a mystery of time, of sorrow, of a love
forgotten by the winds

I smiled to myself and with wonder
and delight knew I could do something
to ease her pain

I placed ruby red lipstick on 
looked into the mirror and kissed
her lips

A woman a  girl
touched by each others souls
one is the other

Forever is the night 
forever are the reflections
in the mirror

A Finger To Brush Away The Tears~by Paddy Martin

I look into the mirror,
I see a man broken,
It is not the face of a stranger.

A man with sunken eyes,
unshaven face, trembling lips,
A mystery of sorrow and of a pain
forgotten by the wind.

I look at him he is familiar,
I wonder if I can do something,
to ease his pain,

I place my finger on the glass,
and brush aside the tear,
that is running down his cheek.

A man, a boy
touched by each others soul
one is the other.

Hand in hand into the night,
they walk together
reflections in the mirror.

Hi Tracey I just love this poem. So much so that I wrote a response "A Finger To Brush Away The Tears" Which I have just posted here. "Ruby Red Kiss" is surely one of the most brillant inner child poems I have ever read. (wether or not you meant it to be that)
