Mostly in the morning.A Poem by TraxlerFrom the collection, Mono no aware By Tylor TraxlerI can’t remember the shape of you Or the shade of the light in the morning That traced you like a stretching angel Round curves and breaks and strongest angles Maybe it’s true We were really too see through To see who believed you From A Colorado view Snow crunches under shoes That we wore to keep warm There is no shore, that’s for sure No more stories, no more lore There’s a party tonight I think I might just go To drink and smoke And pretend I’m not alone All the whys don’t matter All the how’s, we forgot All the who’s just arrived I wish this time I could stop It hurts to search my mind for your shape Your silhouette, it fades Among the crowd I see you He sees you first, I’m too late So bottoms up to forever I resent the shade of morning My stretching angel told me goodbye Now It’s all too boring
