i am the unknown soldier

i have no side

i have have lied
but never denied

i have known shame
i have been blamed
i have lit the first flame

i know i do not use the knife

i am but an optical illusion
that knows no light
nor darkness...

This is pretty interesting for me actually, because I spent some time in Italy and they have statue dedicated to an unknown soldier. Matter of fact, I believe there are several unknown soldiers around the world. This may be what either one of was thinking when they decided to go to war and died as being unknown. Clever. Nicely done.
