Let us go and you will never forget. Let us go and we will haunt you; your dreams are nothing more than nightmares then. You wanted to help the world? Then why did you let us go?

We are alone. Remember that. We loved you; we trusted you, we treated you like gods.

You can't make us more alone than that.

Don't ignore us. Don't let us slip through your fingers. Protect us, don't let them kill us; don't let us kill ourselves. Please. A knife, a sword, poison, do you realize how mortal we really are? A human can die in only so many ways. Stabbed in the throat so we can't speak; stabbed in the head so we can't think; stabbed in the heart so that we just can't love anymore.

Please. Save us. Protect us. Stand in front of us and take the bullet. We're just children. You've had forever.

Don't ignore the bruises, the cuts and the scars, the blood. If you do, let our blood be on your hands. Let our blood stain your souls. Don't believe our lies. Don't believe anything we say. Protect us against ourselves. Protect us against them. Let us remember. Let us remember what really happened.

Don't leave us. Don't call us names. Don't hurt us and abandon us there to die.

Believe in our love. Believe in our lives. Believe that we can still live.

Hold us when we cry. When our hopes die, let us stay here. When our dreams fly, let us stay here. Free us. Free us from this cage. Free us. Don't break us; we're already broken. Let us live. Let us live. Please.

Protect us;
From ourselves,
From the people that call themselves our families,
From the suffering and sorrows that plague our lives,
From our lies,
From our bruises,
From our tormentors,
From our tears.

Protect us.
Please.
Protect us.
Protect us.

let us live, let us die, let us be free

[i know you will]

About
I'm a convoluted trekkie who spends too much time procrastinating. I can see the Northern Lights from my house in the winter and I've memorized startlingly large portions of King Henry IV, part one. more..
